Welcome, I'm glad you are here.
  • Each of us seeks guidance and support for a variety of reasons: pain, change, longing for meaning, and loss to name just a few.  When life experiences disrupt our sense of wholeness, we no longer feel like ourselves. Our lives and relationships can feel stuck, empty or unbearable. I believe our work is about reconnecting you to your Self, which holds the innate ability to begin the self-healing process. ​​To best meet you in each of these places, I have developed several central tenets of effective practice. Our work will be:
  • Project-driven with highly specific goals
  • Focused on the restoration of your nervous system
  • Based in our formation of a tight team collaborating toward your goals 
  • Attuned to places of stuckness that point the way to traumatic experiences that need to resolved and
  • Aimed toward helping you know who you are and what you stand for to bring about the most authentic expression of yourself.

Project-Driven Focus: Our work together will be shaped by goal-based Projects.  Doing so allows us to be highly collaborative in shaping the work and maximizes your ability to be an agent for your own growth.  Examples of projects include:
  • Using Ployvagal Exercises, EMDR and Jin Shin TARA to Increase the resilience of your Nervous System and sense of inner safety
  • Working with Internal Family Systems approaches to work through the inner conflicts that are blocking your forward movement or causing you pain.
  • Using EMDR to address a particular traumatic event or period in your life
  • Using EMDR to address a challenge in your current life
  • Companioning you through a loss
  • Supporting a journey of descent and depth: disease, looking for greater meaning, navigating a threshold in your life.
  • Cultivating a more soulful or creative life

Nervous System Focus:  In response to the increased and chronic stresses of our times, and the growing body of evidence around the centrality of the Polyvagal theory, I have received extensive training in highly specific interventions that increase multilateral balance in the nervous system (both up and down regulation). The goal is to build increased resilience and inner safety that is accessible regardless of external circumstances. 

Identifying Blocking Patterns: It is our birthright to have a liberated nervous system.  Experiences that trigger shock and trauma, lock rigid these haunting memories into our psyches and our soma (body).  These unresolved memories are triggers waiting to happen, locking us into patterns of behavior, belief and emotions that are based not in the present circumstances but the ghosts of the past. Evidence based trauma treatments like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), can very effectively shift these places of stuckness into places of resilience and power.


I work with various approaches including:
  • EMDR: to reduce the impact of traumatic experiences 
  • Polyvagal Theory and Its applications
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): to work through inner conflicts
  • Ecopsychology: Nature Based practices to support wholeness and resources
  • Depth & Archetypal Psychology: to explore our hidden depths
  • Ego States Therapy: to work with complex and early childhood trauma
  • DBT: to support emotional regulation and distress tolerance
  • Attachment Theory: to address childhood patterns that are showing up current relationships
  • The TARA Approach: or Jin Shin TARA, an applied touch energy medicine that directly intervenes at the nervous system level to support nervous system resilience and balance, build organ health and support the healthiest expression of you!

Individual therapy can help you: 
  • Develop new perspectives and life skills so that you can free yourself from habitual patterns of anxiety, depression, and self-criticism. 
  • Reclaim your sense of personal power. Learn to take responsibility and move forward in your life rather than feeling stuck, helpless and hopeless.
  • Find ways to relate to emotional or physical suffering so that inevitable suffering brings wisdom & compassion rather than depression & anger. 
  • Improve the quality of your relationships by developing more life affirming behaviors. 
  • Provide you with a set scheduled time to attend to your own needs and regain your perspective.
